Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme is waiting for your applications!

Atelier Muse as one of the hosting organisations in Turkey

The Hrant Dink Foundation, in partnership with Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre, will continue to encourage people-to-people and institutional contacts and exchange of field-specific knowledge between the two neighbouring countries behind the closed border, thanks to the support of the UK Government’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund.

In 2017-2018, the Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme will offer 10 professionals from Armenia and Turkey the opportunity to live and follow a special programme at a specific Host Organisation in the neighbouring country for four to eight months. The Fellowship Scheme will continue to support the activities in areas where further exchange of expertise and lasting cooperation is much needed, such as academia, research centers, civil society, entrepreneurship, media and communication, culture and arts, architecture and design, culinary, translation and interpreting/language-learning, law, healthcare and medicine.

In 2017-2018, 37 organisations from Turkey and 33 organisations from Armenia are ready to act as Host Organisations for fellows from the neighbouring country. Individuals are also invited to propose their own project ideas, other than the fellowship opportunities offered by the listed Host Organisations.

Die Eventserie “Role of Arts and Culture Entrepreneurship on Social Reflections”, die das Atelier Muse gemeinsam mit Impact organisiert, geht weiter mit dem Türkisch-Deutschen Online Kültür Magazin MAVIBLAU im Impact Hub, am Donnerstag, den 8. Juni.

YU by Gizem Aksu, Performance at SALT Galata

How do visceral organs, often unnoticed during the rush of daily routine, relate with each other and life? What form of knowledge guides the individual tissue, space, and rhythm of these organs? Developed on the definition of “organic wisdom,” Gizem Aksu’s cinematographic performance “YU” (2016) invites the viewers to sense and perceive the body while questioning its socio-cultural and linguistic attributions.

Organized in collaboration with SALT and Atelier Muse, the performance is without dialogue and only suitable for people aged 18 or older. Free admission. Participation is limited to 60 people and reservations are not accepted. The doors will remain closed after commencement in order not to disturb the performance.

Gizem Aksu is a dancer, choreographer and instructor pursuing her studies on Proficiency in Art at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory. While her articles and interviews are published by “Mimesis Dergi”, she continues her “Organic Wisdom” workshops.
